CBD Stores with a Permit Considered Essential Businesses

CBD Stores across the state of Florida have been forced to close their doors, but Chillum CBD Dispensary in Ybor City has a permit from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) deeming them an essential business.

Many CBD stores across the nation have been considered non-essential businesses it’s because many stores in Florida don’t have permits.

Earlier this year, the Florida Department of Agriculture began regulating CBD retail stores. In order to do this, they asked that all CBD stores register for Retail Food Permits. We were eager to comply and because of this we are now considered essential during this whole pandemic.

“We are happy to be providing CBD at this horrible time,” Carlos Hermida, Owner Chillum CBD DIspensary, “People need our services now more than ever. Who could think of a more stressful time?”

Stores that complied with the FDACS’ request to file for their permits will be allowed to stay open since they are regulated as if they were convenience stores.
