Movie Night – FREE – Reefer Madness
Join us on November 6th from 7-9 pm for an evening of entertainment, history, and discussion at Chillum Mushroom and Hemp Dispensary’s Downtown St. Pete location as we screen the cult classic Reefer Madness. This iconic film, originally released in the 1930s, has become a symbol of the early propaganda against cannabis, depicting exaggerated, often humorous dangers of marijuana use. With its over-the-top storyline and dramatic portrayals, Reefer Madness is both a nostalgic throwback and a fascinating window into past perceptions of cannabis.
Following the screening, stick around for a panel discussion where experts and advocates will delve into the cultural and historical impact of the film and explore how it has influenced public opinion, legislation, and the cannabis movement over the decades. This event offers a unique opportunity to laugh, learn, and engage with the legacy of cannabis propaganda, seeing just how far society has come since the days of Reefer Madness. This is a free event, so bring friends, curiosity, and an open mind for a night of education and entertainment!
