Most CBD oil is made with the intention of being ingested sublingually.  Sublingual means under the tongue, but it gets a bit more complicated than just tossing a little bit of CBD oil under you tongue.

How to Dose CBD Oil:

  1. Look at the bottle, how many milligrams of CBD are in the entire bottle?
  2. Look at the bottle again, how many milliliters of oil are in the bottle
  3. This bottle is a 30 ml bottle and has 600mg of CBD in it
  4. Figure out how many mg is in each ml of the oil. This is done by dividing the amount of mg by the amount of ml.
    1. For the above bottle of CBD oil:
      1. There are 20 mg of CBD per ml
      2. 600mg/30ml= 20mg per ml
    2. Typically, the droppers used for CBD oil bottles tend to have measurements. But if they don’t then typically a dropper full of oil equals one ml.
      1. This is not the case for every bottle of CBD oil, and you must check this to be sure.
    3. Always start with a low dose.
      1. Measure how much you take. If you did half a dropper full of the above bottle then you would be taking 10 mg.
    4. Leave the dose under your tongue for 2 minutes and swallow. In 20 minutes, you should start to feel the effects.
    5. If you don’t feel the effects in 20 minutes that just means you need a higher dose. So, add more, but keep track of how much.
