Trulieve Employee Charged With Stealing a Whole Lot of Marijuana

Two, now former, employees of Trulieve were arrested for stealing more that $135,000 in medical marijuana.  Marquis Brown and Sammy Carter, worked at Trulieve’s Midway distribution facility and were arrested on Wednesday by the Gadsden County Sheriff’s office. This was after Trulieve’s loss prevention official’s alerted the authorities to the crime.

The Sheriffs office claims that 10,000 grams of marijuana were stolen and that they have recovered about 75% of it.

“Based on the investigative interviews and information received from both subjects, the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office was able to recover 100% of the 10,000 grams of medical marijuana and turned (it) back over to Trulieve,” said GCSO Spokeswoman Lt. Anglie Holmes.
